So much is misunderstood on how we humans create our reality. Many get lost in rigid formulas, methods and techniques, try to visualize, use affirmations and go higher and higher in our meditations, but they keep attracting the same hurtful and going-nowhere relationships, frustrating jobs and life situations and so on.
For your dreams of love to come to reality, it is important to be clear and to create SPACE for love in your head, in your heart, and in your life - and to profess it with your mouth. Every thought you think, every word you speak, every emotion or feeling your express or suppress and everything you do is a prayer to God and to the Universe. When your thoughts, words, feelings and actions are aligned to your soul intent, you will effortlessly manifest your hopes dreams and desires.
There is a great story that I read about Della Reese (Tess), star of the television series ''Touched by an Angel.'' And just in case you're reading this and you happen to know Della Reese or any of the cast of "Touched by an Angel'' (Monica or Andrew) tell them meeting them is my deathbed wish, and of course Oprah, Nelson Mandela and Angelina Jolie. I just had to add this in, I never know who might be reading this. I am just aligning my thoughts, words, feelings and actions to my soul intent. Anyway, one thing that Della Reese (this is true life not a movie) did before she met her current husband was cook dinner for two every night and set a place at the table for him, knowing that someday he would be there. And those of you who have watched Tess in 'Touched by an Angel'', you know that she "talks to herself" quite a lot. I am almost certain in real life Della spoke to her "invisible" dinner date as she ate.
Another great story is of one of my clients I will call Sarah for client confidentiality. Sarah keeps notes of just about everything about her life. She'd come to every session all well prepared with her assignments in neat folders. When Sarah and I were working on her five heart-felt lists, I suggested to her that since she has been journaling all her life, she could write her soul mate letters, date the letters, seal them and lock them away in a safe place. They would make a great wedding gift. Every session after that, Sarah would ask for five minutes just to tell me how she was falling totally in love with her soul mate even if she hadn't met him yet. For eight months she wrote love letters. One day attending a writers' workshop she met a really nice charming guy who happened to have been looking for a proof-reader for his book. They talked, met a couple of times and he hired her to edit his book. As time went by they developed a relationship and started dating. To cut the long story short, they are now writing a book together and guess what, the book is her love letters to her soul mate.
Every couple has their own story but one common thing with many soul mate stories is that these people opened their minds, hearts and life to love and created the space for love to bring home their soul mate. Most people acknowledge, in hindsight, trusting and acting on their intuition leading them to meet their soul mate but there are many others who chose to consciously follow what their own intuition was telling them.
You do not have to go to every singles party or even go to any at all, if partying is not your thing. You do not even have to put an online ad or profile on any website because your intuitive self knows exactly where to find your Soul Mate. The point I am trying to make here is that your interests, hobbies and the things you absolutely love to do are also a clue from your soul as to where you are most likely to meet the person who shares your interests, someone who most likely is your soul mate.
Think creatively about where this type of person spends his or her time. If your interest is travel to exotic places, what kind of person would love traveling to exotic places? May be the same kind of person who also loves playing golf. Do you love playing golf? Then pick up your gear and go play. May be he or she is the kind of person who had traveled the world and now dedicates his or her spare time to helping children in developing countries. And may be working with children in developing countries has always been your passion, then find an organization that works with children in Africa, Asia or South America and volunteer your time. May be you really love to dance, and tango is your thing. Use your imagination. Where would someone who loves tango spend his or her time? In a dance class, perhaps. If you are just planning to learn tango may be now is the time to sign up in a tango class. Or may be your tango itching feet need to be dancing away, get dressed go dance. Do you think this kind of person would love Mexican food as well?. Where was the last time you went to a restaurant where they serve Mexican food?. What about someone who works on artistic projects, where would you find such a person? In an art studio teaching, touring art galleries, in a yoga class, sitting in a park on a summer day watching nature or may be in a crafts shop buying art materials? etc.
Listen and follow your intuition. Trust me, this is much better than looking in the personal column of the newspaper or browsing through those online profiles! By making the decision to align your attention to your intention you are telling your subconscious mind that you are serious about finding your soul mate. You will find it much easier to access your creative thinking and to follow the directions of your soul instead of the directions of your small, fearful and limited ego.
Align your thoughts, words, feelings and actions. Cover everything from physical to mental to sexual to spiritual. Its the small things we think are unimportant that are really important. Are you putting off losing those extra few pounds to when you meet your soul mate? What about the old T-shirts that you sleep in, are you waiting until there is someone to appreciate pretty underwear or nightdress before you buy one. Start cleaning up the mess in your apartment, fix the plumbing, add a little color to the decor in your bedroom or living room to create a "loving and romantic" ambiance etc
Start dreaming. Put the energy you generate swinging between hope and desperation into focused purposeful actions. This will require you to take risks but more than that to be patient as things unfold. Always remember that tracking down your soul mate requires patience; do not feel frustrated or hopeless if you do not find him or her in a certain amount of time. Good things take time to be brought together and you will come together when the time is right. But don't wait until you meet your soul mate to start loving. Make loving a part of your life and others will fall in love with you!
Enjoy anticipation. Enjoy your own unfolding and most importantly keep on believing!
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle-- Albert Einstein. May all your soul mate dreams come true!
